The Property

The Business

The business is currently run remotely with help from a local housekeeper.
The Location
Glen Innes is a charming rural town strategically located in the beautiful New England Tablelands region of NSW at the intersection of the New England and Gwydir Highways, which offer the best routes between Sydney and Brisbane (it is approx. 7 h north from Sydney and about 4 .5 hours from Brisbane).
The town has a robust and diversified economy with thriving agriculture, tourism and service industries. It hosts the annual ‘Minerama Fossicking and Gem Show’, the ‘Glenn Innes Pastoral and Agricultural Show’ and the annual ‘Australian Celtic Festival’, all of which attract thousands of visitors. It is home to the ‘Australian Standing Stones’, the official monument to Australia’s Celtic Pioneers, and boasts a multitude of parks, heritage-listed buildings, book shops, boutiques and collectables shops.
This part of country NSW, known as Celtic Country on account of its Scottish heritage, is also home to some of the world’s richest gem and mineral fields which also attracts visitors to the town for fossicking activities. The nearby world-heritage listed Washpool National Park and Gibraltar Range National Park are another major attraction.
